Dan Ferrone

Dan starred on championship basketball and football teams while at Blakelock. He then went on to Simon Fraser University in British Columbia and played varsity football.

After graduation, Dan played professional football for the Toronto Argonauts and the Calgary Stampeders. He was the captain of the Argonauts and the winner of two Grey Cups. He was a league All Star nine times, All-Canadian six times and twice the winner of the Leo Dandurand Trophy as the Outstanding Offensive Lineman. Dan also served as the President of the C.F.L. Players' Association. In 1997. he was selected by the Globe and Mail as one of Canada's 25 most powerful and influential people in sport.

Dan is involved in many local charities and businesses including Liaison College of Culinary Arts. In 2000, Dan was inducted into the Oakville Sports Hall of Fame.
